Historical chronicle of Minigolf Youth World Championships

Teams from Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic and Russia arrived on the 3d of August in the hotel "Olympiysky-Dagomys" in order to take part in the International Championship. From the very morning all the playing fields were already filled. Not all of the arrived sportsmen had tested the playing fields certified by the International Minigolf Federation during the Minigolf Youth Nations Cup in May of this year.

Together with all sportsmen arrived a Minigolf Committee chairman of Russian Golf Association Alexander Ershov, a sport director of the tournament, vice-president of Worldwide Minigolf Federation Youth Officer, Mr. Pasi Aho, and the General Secretary of WMF, Mr. Roger Kadosh.

A company “Visma Lux” has agreed to be a general partner of the Minigolf Youth World Championship which takes place in the hotel "Olympiysky-Dagomys".

Cold pure water of premium-class “Arhiz” from the refrigerators which are situated near the playing fields for minigolf has come in useful for the sportsmen in such a hot weather.

Russian Restaurant and Hotel Keeper Federation has agreed to be an official partner of the Minigolf Youth World Championship.

Alexander Ivanov, the vice-president of this Federation, has highly appreciated the importance of such international sport events. They are very useful for the Sochi hotel advancement.

The World Championship was officially supported by the Ministry of Sport, Tourism and Youth Policy of the Russian Federation. The Ministry will help to cover expenses on the playing fields preparation and provide the informational support of the Championship. All the expenses of the Russian team will be covered partially.

A company “Trade Design” which has its offices in 34 Russian cities and in the near abroad has agreed to be a general partner of the Minigolf Youth World Championship.

A head of the office in Krasnodar region, Igor Amelin, is sure that the support of the young Russian sportsmen on the international level is a necessary and timely contribution before business community.

“South Telecommunication Company” has agreed to be a partner of the Minigolf Youth World Championship in Sochi. It has provided free Wi-Fi with a speed 2 Mbit/s to all participants of the International Tournament.
Such a fact is a great joy not only for teenager sportsmen who actively use Facebook, but also for all holidaymakers of the hotel "Olympiysky-Dagomys".

For the information support of the Minigolf Youth World Championship Sochi City Administration has given 10 surfaces on the big boards of the city. All of them are situated in the center of the future Olympic Capital.
It should be mentioned that a head of Sochi, Anatoly Pahomov, took an active part in the negotiations with the International Minigolf Association one year ago. He asked about taking a right on holding the World Championship in Sochi, on the playing fields of the hotel "Olympiysky-Dagomys". Such the high-level tournament takes place in Russia for the first time.
